AUSTRIA

A city that has influenced my style a lot is Santiago, Chile. When I lived there my group of friends were obsessed with sneakers and skater brands. They all used to skate and got me into my first tattoos, as well. From that moment on sneakers also became really important to me and a statement piece to my outfits.

I’m Austrian Chilean and part Indigenous Mapuche. I was born and raised in a small town in Austria until I was 14. That’s when I moved to Chile and then to Guatemala. I left at an early age - my roots are everywhere, so I speak 3 languages (German, Spanish & English).

Nike and Jordan are my fav sneaker brands. My friends introduced me to them and I will always connect wearing my sneakers to the feeling of long summer nights in the big city and them with their skateboards - wild and free. When I wear those sneaker brands I feel like it brings out my youthful and cheeky side. It’s hard for me not to wear them with my outfits. When I can’t wear them I feel like something is missing.

My favorite place/country in the world is Mexico. I spent about half a year traveling only through Mexico and it was impressive to see how diverse it is. Beaches, mountains, jungles, deserts, and cities - it never gets boring. The locals were so welcoming and always opened up their homes to us. There’s a lot of warmth and mystery to that country.

A place that left a huge impression on me was the Atacama desert. It’s located in the north of Chile and it must be one of the most beautiful places on earth. The view of the night sky will leave you speechless.

I go to the gym almost daily and I love comfortable clothes, so my style inspiration comes from mostly gym fits and nice sneakers. I like the sporty and playful vibe to it. I never need an excuse to wear bright colors. My fav gym clothes brands are Nike, Alphalete, BuffBunny, and Teveo.

An active lifestyle/fitness training is so important to me because I see it as an act of self care. It’s a daily choice to eat the right food and to exercise to keep yourself strong - physically, mentally, and emotionally. Training on a regular basis keeps me disciplined for anything in life and shows me that I am stronger than I think I am. When I train my mind is quiet and I am at peace - I only focus on what’s in front of me and nothing else matters in that moment. It reminds me that no matter what state I’m in, I can always improve it through exercise and pull myself out of the darkest places.

To stay fit I lift weights and do minimal cardio. I train in socks so I don’t have a fav gym shoe at the moment but I wear Asics Nimbus for running on the treadmill.

To stay motivated I follow my gym routine with no excuse and always listen to my favorite songs to get me in the mood. I put on cute fits that make me feel good and I visualize my goals. The food that I eat fuels me and helps me to stay focused.

In my headphones these days I’m listening to Makko, J Cole, Rosalia, The Underachievers, Flatbush Zombies, Warm Brew, Mac Miller, Sublime

When it comes to fitness I adopted it as a lifestyle because life felt really tough a few years ago and the only outlet I had to exhaust myself mentally and shift my focus was through exercise. That’s when I started to see how important a fitness lifestyle was for my overall health and that I needed to maintain it. I started with running and swimming - but now I love going to the gym to lift weights and build muscle. Once I started to see my body change in a positive way I just kept going. My advice to anyone interested in getting in better shape is to be patient with yourself and try to find a sport and/or exercise you actually enjoy so it doesn’t feel like another chore. Try to embrace being uncomfortable and just keep going. The moment “you will feel like it” will never come - you need to create it. Make actions not excuses.
